S.H.Figuarts Super Saiyan Son Goku Legendary Super Saiyan has now released in Japan, and I can say that he is an awesome release in hand.
Earlier this week images emerged online where it made his chest appear as a very different colour. Below is a summary that was posted on the "Global DB SHFiguarts Collectors" Discord channel addressing this issue. 1. The chest is different plastic to the rest, other parts are a softer plastic (always get mixed up, think chest is PVC and rest is ABS)
2. The type of light you have will change how it looks slightly as the chest plastic reflects the light differently
3. In person I can bare notice any difference. Actually had my wife look with no idea and she didn't notice until I pointed it out
4. Why does it look so different in the photos?
- It seems worse in iPhone photos than Android from what I have seen and tested
- Phones apply an auto filter on photos taken, and I think when it tries to balance out the colours it brightens the chest a lot which is why it stands out so much
- I have found that warmer (more orange colour) lights does not make it stand out as much. However cool (blue tone) ones do,
Summery; taking phone photos? You may see depending on the light, but its only slight and under most conditions you wont notice imo
